Rod Woodson was a hero in Pittsburgh. That guy could run like the wind. Then he sold out and moved.

Buddy of mine crashed early one night and left his cell phone laying out.
Girl Friend #1 starts going thru it and finds a text message from girlfriend #2 - "I miss you and want to see you naked" Needless to say, girlfriend #1 did not take it as easy as Suzy Shuster and the replying text messages were not civil.

I can totally see why he would dig Alycia Lane over Suzy Shuster.

Maybe my recollections differ. (Yes, I'm a Steelers and Woodson fan.) He had just come back from reconstructive knee surgery and was entering free agency. The Steelers didn't want to give him the bank on a long-term deal, so the team decided not to pursue him vigorously. He chose to take the money and go to the 49ers (I think), and eventually landing with the Ratbirds where he won his Super Bowl. Loyalty goes both ways, and I don't put this one squarely on Rod. Pro sports is more about business than it is loyalty. |
