Because it's f-ing close to water?
o.k. gas prices have been going up but raising prices on this is intolerable. . .!

If Bud Light is close to water, what are Coors and Coors Lite?

[quote ztirffritz]Yeah, but who actually drinks anything from Anheuser-Busch?
Try all the idiots in my neighborhood, for starters. Lovely going out in the street on a Sunday morning and seeing the random Bud Light empties lying around.

Back in the younger days (25 years ago) something like this would have been reason to riot (although I have to confess I drank Miller High Life back then). Beer was cheap. The golden rule was to never run out on any occasion.
So many stories; so many laws broken.

Bud purchased in Los Angeles does not taste as bad as Bud purchased in Boston.
Must be the water.

It's the water...and a lot more.

Definitely the water as a start. My father grew up in St Louis, so has a good idea what A-B beer tastes like from the original brewery. He used to check which brewery a case came from because he found some just did not taste very good.

Budweiser is a lot better brew than people give it credit for. There is no comparison between it and, say, MGD, and I'll put it up against a lot of the European imports that people order when they're at ethnic restaurants. Like Peroni, for example -- that's a truly undistinguished beer, but people can't get enough of it at Italian restaurants.

Bud isn't cheap.
Natural Ice and Piels... that's cheap. Not to mention Carling Black Label. ("yo-hoo, Mabel...") I can't drink Bud / Busch products, the rice they use gives me a headache.

I don't think you've had very good beers. Budweiser is only slightly better than things like Natural Ice (which is only meant for shotgunning.) |
