I know this is a big Mac day, but...(kitchen flooring question)
#11
Hi everyone,

My mistake. I should have said self-sticking vinyl or laminate or something similar. simple. Easy to install. Cheap. Good for temporary usage until I gut the kitchen entirely. It's too bad doing something like that isn't going to cut it for the bathroom, even for temporary purposes. It's a mess. The only thing worth keeping in it right now is the toilet and its plumbing hardware and that's because I had it replaced a few years ago. Everything else needs to be tossed except for maybe the bathtub. It's nice and deep and it may prove difficult to find a replacement that is similar to it. So, that may end up being reglazed.

Robert M, have you thought about just putting a floor paint down??? I did that once in a NYC apt and it actually looked pretty good. They come in high gloss and are very durable too, but, of course you're not interested in that.

Check out "fibrefloor" as well. Looks interesting and not too expensive. The snap and click Bamboo flooring is relatively cheap as well and popular in the Northwest, although it goes best with a somewhat modern decor.
