Simple way to include Letterhead in Word Documents
#11
Here's how I make letterhead in Word (pre-2007).

First, go to Format / Document / Layout, and put a check by "Different First Page." That keeps the letterhead from repeating on succeeding pages.

Then open the header by double-clicking at the top of the page (or through View / Header and Footer).

Compose the top of your letterhead there. If you need a graphic or an unusual font, make a PICT of it and insert it. Use tabs to left, center, and right space your name, title, and address, etc.

If you really need it, you can put some more in the footer by following the same procedure.

To exit the header, just double-click in the body of the page.

Save As this letterhead as a template or lock it. Once you get it right, put a copy away somewhere you don't usually go to, in case you mess up the original.

It works quite well. Once set up, the letterhead is easy.

As for setting up tabs and text for invoices, you'll just have to figure that out on the basis of what you have and how you need it to look.

Hope this helps.
