Seriously, if you read the article, you'll see there is kind of a reason for the "announcement"-- although I have to say that I agree with his "none of your business" stance and wouldn't consider it "lying" to stick to MYOB.

i agree. dodging such an open secret imparts a sense of shame in a place where there is no need for one. i have much respect for Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser) who simply stepped up and said "Yes. And?"

I think Neil Patrick Harris was forced to reveal before someone was about to out him in a big way. . .

It is a shame but being in the entertainment industry it isn't that easy to be 'out' because it does affect what work you get. . .so I understand the keeping it secret. . .as a regular joe it might be different. . .but take a look and you will see not many out celebs, particularly gay males. . .with few exceptions. . .Ellen, etc. . .
