If someone wants on your wireless network then there is not much you can do about it.
True. A load of FUD crap, but true. You lock your front door at night, and maybe even during the day, don't you? Why bother. If somebody want in, there's not much you can do about it, right? Yeah, right.
And you should play a Lottery because you can win the jackpot. Another load of crap, but true.
Wireless security is often discussed here, and somebody always tosses out the "if If someone wants" ... card.
The non-FUD answer is it's very unlikely that most systems with the most minimal security precautions will ever be hacked. The problems are more likely to come from having an open network or falling for an social engineering exploit.
If a home network supports WPA2-Personal, that's where I'd start. The odds of such an encrypted, average home network being truly hacked are probably similar to winning the Lotto.
