The Prisoner.

Other shows that had multiple sub plots can get me hooked, like Hill Street Blues. I don't know if these qualify as addictive in the same way but I always tuned in:
Gilmore Girls
Farscape
Dead Like Me
X-Files

I watched the first season of 24 and got annoyed that his daughter was so stupid but never died and stopped watching during the second season.
