Looking forward to the rain here in Long Beach, CA. Hoping for a wet cold winter, would like to do a lot of skiing this winter locally and in Mammoth.... Rolleyes

Up here in the SF Bay Area it's been really windy. The redwoods in my yard have just dropped about 6" of wet pine needles onto my roof and decks (which I just cleaned off about a week ago).

Thanks Gene but we're fine. It's been two years since the last burn and I'm pretty much surrounded by rock, a lot of folks out there aren't and exposed to whatever the weather brings, especially the newer burn areas.

Bet it'll chilly at the beach today.

Glad to hear that you're good this year.

I just stepped outside in a t-shirt to check the temp. Not bad. Outside thermometer is saying 66º. The sky over the ocean is very dark, but the sun is shining brightly over our condo.Smile

Here in the Oakland/East Bay area, it's been raining steady since I got up early this morning, and probably even earlier.

We can use it, but I'd like to go out and gather some provisions, so I'll hope for a let up, soon.

GeneL,

Thanks for your concern. We are doing fine here. The neighbors to our East and West are preparing for the expected rainfall.

You're welcome. Flew from Ohio to San Diego yesterday- we 'brought the rain with us'. Rain pretty much the whole way.

I'm laughing because people are complaining that it's so "cold", wearing sweaters, etc.. I'm in shortsleeves, and was thinking I'd go back and change into shorts for tomorrow. 65 degrees is HOT in October ! In Cleveland we're wearing t-shorts, shorts, and flip-flops down to about 60 degrees.

Oh spare us the superior attitude, Mr. Coldmiser.
We're not all wimps out here, and Cali storms can actually be pretty devastating.

Why just observe the horrific damage I suffered during our last bout of inclement weather:
