We got the Sharpies deal too, my wife and me. We had to go in store and when I tried calling them today I got a message saying to offer was no longer valid - hours before the original cut off.

Man, you guys were all about those Sharpies . . .

The offer said "expires 11/30."
That could be any time on 11/30, from 12:01 A.M. to 11:59 PM, no?
Most of the time, if a Staples ad says expires 11/30, it means it is good that whole day, unless supplies run out. I think they reached their limit on the coupon and that is why it expired a little early.

I'm baffled at why anyone would feel empty and disappointed after getting all wound up for a consumerist frenzy. Shouldn't buying things leave you with a warm inner glow and a lasting sense of fulfillment?

never participate. 20+ of my annual pay comes in the bonus the second friday of december. That's when xmas shopping begins in our house.

Seems the past few years the best deals are on Black Friday.

Yeah, Cyber Monday was more of a snooze than anything else. I bought one $4.99 item for myself and that was it. Sad

I did get in on the $25 worth of free Sharpies at Staples yesterday. If they actually fulfill the order before they run out of stock, that might be the best deal of the weekend for me.

you have them on hand for when the frat boys sign your rack, right?

I was looking for a digital camera. There were a few deals, but all of the decent camera ones were sold out, noticeably at J&R.

All I ordered for Cyber Monday was a new bathing suit to swim laps at 15% off!

Weren't some of the black friday morning and overnite lines also to get one of ten of something that was conveniently in short supply ?

A cabbage patch doll was the ONLY thing I've ever gotten up early and waited in line for .

Seemed worth it at the time and shortly after the Christmas morning smile. Down the road, I'm not so sure I would do it again.
