I read something somewhere that his father was a serious damper on his years when
he wanted poontang - especially when he wasn't losing hair and was 17-25, and should
have had some freedom to be human, at least with groupies!
This is the typical syndrome seen by people all over the world (certainly in the west)
where the Medical School grad, turned 80 hour/week intern, then finally gets his
practice, etc., (and married somewhere in between all that, often as an undergrad)
finally realizes he has the money and free-time now, and he's around SOME nurses
that aren't smoking hogs.
And they have their childhood at 30 years old.
I blame the father ----------- Sure, he gave the kid the capacity for $1 billion, but
it was the father who pushed a 4 year old onto Johnny Carson, not the four year old.

Please. He's fine. He still has all of his money (which is the only thing that matters because if all of a sudden he was penniless, that would be the only issue discussed). The dog and pony show is because he wants to keep the mother of his kids as his wife. His house of cards was going to crumble sooner or later. I'm sure he was at the point that where he sweated it all. Who was going to call at the wrong time. Who was going to go rogue on him.
He's just a dude that cheated on his wife. Like most dudes have and will. Most. Why he has to kiss everybody's butt? Who knows, but being a rich powerful man with some color having to kneel before his masters is rooted in history.

If he had been single and had 10 illegitimate kids from 10 different women, none of this would have been news past the first week.
This is an issue between him and his wife.
Why should we care? I have not read his statement - and I won't. I only wanted to see why people I respect on this forum care.

I say it should stay in his house, but lacking that, he surely doesn't owe anyone outside his
house ANYTHING, let alone an explanation or apology.
For all we know, she went first, but he has enough sense to keep that inside the house too.
We don't NEED to know.

Discussing this topic, which to me is fascinating as a sociologist, as responsible adults is perfectly fine IMO. He is a public figure pushing a brand and image for money that comes from the public and now that has been dashed. It is an incredible case study.

Tiger is a pussycat! If that was me I'd have my lawyers write up a letter to the soon to be ex Mrs Woods. You've have committed assault and battery, you will be prosecuted, imprisoned and deported; why don't you leave now?

Let's go back to the Balloon Boy story, my favorite news event from last year. Much more interesting story to discuss IMHO.

Seems totally unremarkable to me.
Celebrated individual on pedestal revealed to have feet of clay. General public "shocked" by the totally unexpected fact that individual is human and not a demi-god. Media milks it for all its worth. Large segment of public goes into spasmodic paroxysms of schadenfreude and largely baseless speculation very often colored by varying degrees of bias, envy and a few other less than noble motivators. Frothing subsides till the next juicy bit tossed from the chum bucket of TMZ, the Drudge Report or some other lofty media outlet.
Baldwin's phone call to his kid, Barry's "Clear", Letterman's mistress, Tiger's 'harem', the carnival rolls on, the barkers work the crowd, the crowd gathers round with oohs and ahs and clucking tongues and wagging fingers.

I am thankful that we all don't think the same, like the same things and see things all the same. That is the beauty of public discussion, we all get to express our opinion or not post one at all.
I work with doctors all day and we discuss how images of various diseases such as cancer should look. What I do as a diversion such as follow this story and analyze it are interesting to me and takes my mind off looking at hundreds of images of different carcinomas and tumors pulled out from deceased patients. Maybe there is more serious and noteworthy stories but to me watching money, power, influence and how it collides is interesting case study.
