THUNDERCATS, HO!: Tonight's official "Lost" thread (SPOILERS!!!)
#21
I saw the Hanso commercial and I still say that's Locke's father
standing in the window. Did you notice the film clip during the
Hanso commercial? 've got the whole thing DVRed in HD so I
may go back a take a look after my wife watches "Invasion".

Yup, I've got it.

It's 1-877-HANSORG

... just tried calling, but all I got was a fast busy signal, no doubt their phone lines are overloaded!

... I did like this turn. I'm guessing that Michael is either:

A) leading them into a trap, so that he can get Walt back

B ) brainwashed by the Others

C) both A and B

I thought that Michael was a plant from the others, but I didn't see him killing Anna Lucia until just before when he apologized. I suspect they are blackmailing him with Walt, just my guess.

Grateful, I don't think it's his father, that idea's come up a million times, judge for yourself:

(keeping in mind that the pics of Alvar Hanso are from 1980 at the latest, and we don't know precisely when the flashbacks with Locke's father were, but they were considerably later than that, so he should really look younger in the Dharma film, not older as he seems to)

I agree with rgG, I think he's being blackmailed, but possibly also he's been brainwashed...

Heh. The Hanso Foundation must be a subsidiary of ABC -- when you look carefully at the commercial, in one of the early frames is, in very small print: "Paid for by abc incorporated" !

blackmail is more likely because if he was brainwashed he wouldn't have said "sorry" and acted with regret. . .he would have just done the deed. . .

Newt, true...

Probably the Others also didn't have enough time to brainwash him.

Was it really necessary to kill the two of them, though? Couldn't he have just distracted Ana Lucia or something, and then let Henry out?

Howard Stern asked J. J. Abrams directly if the DUIs would make them write off the 2 ladies and he said no way. . .like I said, he couldn't tell the truth but I hope they weren't just written off because of the DUIs. . .

J.J. was going on and on about how he love Michelle Rodriguez. . .blah. . .blah. . .blah. . .

I don't think they were written off JUST because of the DUI's, but I don't think it helped.

It was interesting that this was an Ana Lucia-centric episode, and it was her final one-- but we never really got to see Libby's flashbacks, aside from the minor role she played in Hurley's. Too bad, because I like the actress, and I wish they'd have let her stay on.

Boy, they really don't have a problem killing anybody off, do they? I wonder who's gonna be next...
