Husbands, do you buy your wife a Mother's Day present?

Does mulch count? My wife wants mulch this year as "a Mother's Day gift," for an outdoor project.

And yes, I know I'm a lucky man.

I would LOVE to get pine straw for Mother's Day. Big Grin
I've known for a long time you and my wife would be along. How would feel if you got tools for a birthday?

My wife has a good friend who told her husband, "Don't ever give me a gift that plugs in." It was her anti-appliance, anti-practical gift edict. At one birthday party for my wife, I gave her a tape measure. I lost a few points that day in her friend's eye but I gained major points at home. Smile
I have gotten tools/power equipment as gifts, because I told him that is what I would like. One time t was a quality pruning saw that I have used many times. Hubby knows he can get me tools and such, but nothing to do with cooking. The only thing I want in regards to cooking, would be a gift certificate to a nice restaurant.

My wife's family has always exchanged hanging flowers for Mother's Day, but this is based on a northern European tradition of family day. So that's what I do, my daughter and I will go out to a nursery and find hanging flower baskets for my wife, mother-in-law and sister-in-law. My daughter will also make a card for mom.
