Yep! The NY Times headline was "Alaskan is McCain's Choice" because nobody outside of Alaska knew her name. I have stuff on my to-do list that is more than 5 years old -- she's gone from Governor to VP candidate to Reality Show Subject to Talking Head to Senate Candidate? That's a busy five years!

So, uh, why should anyone outside of Massachusetts know Elizabeth Warren? (or the junior Senator of any other State, for that matter).

I'd be particularly curious to know why some folks were able to pick her out, but not the Speaker of the House - seems a bit odd...
