Even though corn prices are way down she paid $245/bag for corn. That's enough to do about 8 acres. Now they're saying we may get 3 more inches this week. Come on over and you can help ;-)

I donate computers to a friend that her cats use the towers for toilets. So, G4 Mirror door has black screen, then the $90 G5Dual has a black screen and smells even better.
Gutted the G5 and recycled the big parts as I didn't know if they were any good. Off to LEM for the rest. As for the case, it will become a subwoofer. Small drivers like Tang Bang should be interesting. You should check for lint etc. The G5's were the Dyson of vacuums at collecting carpet lint. I cleaned mine with a large grounded dust collector and low level compressed air from my spray unit. Looked good until I took it apart and the power supply had a fist full of carpet lint in it. Have fun with it, you can still get your money back on the parts.

Isn't the 2.3Ghz G5 dually liquid cooled and dual core?
Ah, MacTracker tells me it was just the 2.7Ghz of this model that was liquid cooled. Nevertheless, with 4.5GB RAM that is a very nice find for a file server, possibly a DNLA host or some such function...

Well, I wouldn't junk it, or turn it into a cat box.
A machine like that would be perfectly capable of running all the applications you need for a small business (or even a good-sized business), not to mention non-profit and charity organizations, which are usually strapped for money. If you don't have use for it, and you're not a packrat like some of us, donate it. Besides, those are really cool-looking computers. /Mr Lynn
