MacWorld Magazine Is Toast

Whoa, they can't do that, my subscription runs until Dec. '17.

Likewise, I also have several more years on my subscription.

I haven't heard a word from the publisher about a refund.

I've been screwed on several other subscriptions. Newsweek, Us News and World Report and the most upsetting was Bird Talk to which I was a subscriber for many years and had at least five years to go on my subscription when they stopped publishing.

Worse still, they seemed to think that they could complete their obligation by sending me their Dog publication.

I'm sure that Precious wouldn't appreciate that. She isn't bothered when she sees a cat on TV, but if she sees a dog she gets all upset and flares her feathers to look big.

Precious says, "a dog magazine! Are you kidding me?."

I also started with MacUser, and switching to MacWorld when (IIRC) they combined.

My fave tho was Mac the Knife in MacWeek. Was his/her true identity ever revealed?

I had been using Outlook Express and Mozilla on Usenet, but they were clunky at best.

Outlook Express was an outstanding e-mail program for its time. I regretted when Microsoft made the decision to cease development on it.

Does this mean that they won't have a booth at MacWorld?

I used to go straight for the back pages full of ads.

Here's my note to self in my magazine subscription file:
"Ordered 2 years MacWorld from BestDealMagaines for $6.71 on 7/28/2014."

I've gotten 1 issue so at least I didn't pay too much. I presume they'll replace it with some other magazine--probably something about pc's.

I always preferred MacUser anyways.

My favorite was MacAddict!
I still have the first 100 issues of MacAddict. It was great in the early years. Still have the disc with the "worm" on it.
