OTOH The comparison was made about "the world's largest flying freighter", not a plane with a longest wingspan, or other, limited, one single metric. Freighters carry cargo. That means volume AND weight.
Again, internal volume of a plane with a blown out body designed to shuttle light weight aluminum tubes, or wings does not magically make it the biggest freighter per se. There is usually some balance between the two major requirements.
