Search is on... mom-friendly laptop

That pink iBook is really a ripoff, just noticed that it's not even a paint job, just a cover.

Save your bucks, look on local Craigslist, LEM Swap, or MacSwap.

Yeah, and I could paint it-I've done that with electronics. I'd do it in chromeillusion, myself! Nah, these laptops are decent enough looking without customization. I do have a skin on my Mini, but it was a gift and is in view, inches in front of me at all times while using the computer.

I bet he lures a lot of gullible people with pink iBooks.

Thanks,

I don't think I can allow that in my house. It's over the line.

I got a Ti-Book from a friend that was "dead" After installing a new display, it was up and running again. I gave it to my Mom and got her off the POS Dell she had been using.

That's what I expected to do with the iBook I bought her-thought it was the display when it went bad. Nope, logic board! She never really used the Dell much-I wouldn't want her to have to.

Pay attention:

[quote C(-)ris]You don't want to be looking for iBooks. Look for G4 Powerbooks. They go for less than a comparable speed iBook because people "know" the iBook name.
