Lunch topic : what percentage of people earned at least some income today?
#21
Hey, I have two sons in college yet, you going to pay for them? It will take me another 10 years to pay that off and put away a bit more for my retirement besides the pension I will get...maybe. Wink

Why is this such a difficult thing to look up?

58.4 percent in January.

psssh. I told my wife today that there is no way we can put our kids through college. So, why bother/worry about it?

It's in the divorce decree... So I have to provide some support to them, or else...

my parents didn't put me through college.

dad's savings bonds paid for the first year's tuition & board, and that's all. the rest was grants and loans, and me working on every spring, summer and winter break. no vacations to Florida here.

yeah, I tried ONE vacation to FL during school.
We stopped in Atlanta due to a LONG STORY. I passed out. Awoke to a woman looking down at me. My friend's parents, were both doctors. little did I realize in Atlanta how sick I'd be before I go to Miami.
Oh, the memory of that still makes me cringe.

So, I tried to eat one cheese sandwich in FL. That was about all that stayed down for two weeks. I caught a flight home hours after arrival. I didn't care that my car was in FL. I was sick!
