14/15 on the long one. Lifelong atheist, but I didn't know the "great Awakening" one.

There's really nothing surprising in the results. Those who end up as atheists and agnostics have a great deal of soul searching and investigation behind them. One can not simply shed the cultural affinity for faith without intellectual work.

That simplistically explains the terrier grip on religious faith that the uninformed maintained. Look no further than the radical Muslim movement in poverty ridden nations as opposed to Muslims in places like the United States or Jordan. The farther removed from education, the stronger the bonds to the supernatural and magical creations of "those who know best".

Yep. I thought that "A teacher can..." was the same as the NYT abbreviated quiz. When the next screen came up, I knew I dropped the ball.

But I got the Job one right because of the NYT quiz, so I guess I'm even Wink

And I guessed the Great Awakening correctly =P

I see that the question on teaching the bible as literature has the lowest percentage of correct answers (other than the great awakening).

I wonder if this is because trying to teach it as literature creates a shitstorm even if it's legal? So everyone thinks it's illegal.

The people who get it wrong also think a kid can't pray in school. A kid can pray all day in school if he or she likes.

My other miss was because I was moving too fast and didn't stop to think...

Six "Hail Marys," two "Our Fathers" and drop a few ducats in the collection plate, and you're good.

I took the updated quiz and also score a perfect 15/15. Mom always wanted me to become a priest...I guess I was always a straight-A student in my Catholic school religion classes.
