Funny you should mention that. Salem bin Laden, former head of the family business, best friend of King Saud, and OBL's older brother, was killed in an airplane accident in San Antonio in 1988.

SA = St. Andrews; I hear OBL was an avid golfer...

If the evil SOB is really dead, nothing else matters; burial schmurial.

Am I the only one who wonders if they really buried the body at sea? I am not saying that they didn't drop something in the ocean, it just might not have been Osama's body. Just sayin...

If he's really dead and they can prove it then why keep the corpse? Especially when it could easily become a rallying point for terrorism.

OTOH, he's from a very wealthy family and could easily have just "disappeared." If you were really paranoid you might watch the indie news outlets carefully today for the story that was squashed by the Bin Laden news and hints at favors traded between the U.S. government and some very rich Saudis...

I think the United States did the absolute minimum required to avoid offending most moderate Muslims. First the body was flown to Afghanistan for identification and DNA testing; then it was thrown into the sea. Perhaps they threw him out of the plane as the hatch faced east. I don't think too many people other than fundamentalist Muslims care that much.

White House security official speaking right now says no decision has been made about whether to release photos of his body, but they want to make sure that no one has any doubt that this guy is dead, so they'll release what they can without jeopardizing future missions.

I'm over the top glad that he's dead. I really could not care less what they did with his body.

I find it funny that a bunch of bottom feeders are feasting on his nads right now.
