How much is your electric bill this month?

My gas & electric are billed together. I looked at the bill last night. Electric was about $40 and gas was $95. I have gas heat, it's been a cold spring & I had to keep t he heat in the snake room turned up pretty high to keep them healthy. As for electricity, At night, I usually only have 1 light on at a time. I don't use my appliances much & most of my laundry is done at bf's house.

The costs have certainly gone up for me in the past few years. For a long time, i could pretty much count on my winter cost (for gas & electric) to be around $130 (and that's with having the heat turned up pretty high in 1-2 rooms) and in the summer, it would always be under $100 (usually 80-90). Winter now ranges between 160-200 a month and summer is 100-110.

Wow, some of you folks have some pretty scary electric bills.

Mine was $101.95 last month and that's with 8 computers running 24/7. Other than the computers, I try to conserve. I use all CFLs (except the lights I only use once in a blue moon) and the light I use the most is a 4 watt CFL.

This is Michigan so air conditioning isn't a big deal. In fact after looking at my bills, last year in the summer months my bill actually decreased. That's because I was paranoid about the bill being sky high so when I needed AC I shut down most of my computers.
