I have some bourbon in hand so I'm lacking self restraint - get faster on the (pedal) bike, shower at the office if needed, and consider it an investment in cardiovascular health. A $100 headlight will keep cars at bay.

I'd be highly impressed by anyone who can do 30-40mph uphill in Seattle. My brother races and he can't even do that.
