Please, no 'forever' stickies! If someone wants to know the location of a member they will find this link via the search function.
The search function blows chunks, but I agree on no "forever stickies."
Search functiuon works great, actually.

As far as this being a permanent sticky: Those do tend to clutter up the topic list. Instead, why not add it to the links for Tips and Deals, For Sale & Free Items, & Friendly' Political Ranting? It does seem like a good idea to have it handy for visitors and potential joiners.

I do like that idea.

I've been wondering what I'd do, if and when the sticky was gone. This suggestion would be a great solution, IMHO.

A simple search for member and map will do what you want.

"Sitcky Member" sounds like some sort of Austin Powers character.

Instead of a permanent Sticky, what this forum could use is a permanent link in the headings for a FAQ, Wiki, or Help page. Lots of other forums have them for new members to read before posting.

It could also contain directions for things like how to post a clickable link, how to post a picture, where to store the picture, and folklore like the Birthday/Celebration fairy, deceased members, expired food, POMTL, B/W Laser proofing, etc. I think someone started something like this off-site for DealMac years ago.

I need help with posting pictures, and a lot more, depending on who you ask about me.
