can i lock applications onto the dock?
#1
hey
my mom keeps dragging her application icons off of her dock, apparently unbeknownst to her.
we have to keep repeating the process of dragging them back, but not often enough for her to remember how to do it. then we end up with copies of safari everyplace but the dock etc.

can we lock them on?

Maybe Parental Controls has an option for this?

"Parental Control" might work, but it's her computer (hahaha)

actually parental controls won't work on admin accounts and so i can't even see if it is an option- she won't change her account now.

My mother-in-law kept doing this, too. I found an app called Dock Locker and installed it.

Just noticed Cocktail has a selectable option to Lock the Dock. It's located in Cocktail/Interface/Dock.
