Poll: Dual Display Arrangement

Here's a N00b question. I was going to attach a second monitor on my G5 but the vid card (GeForce FX 5200) has only one digital output (currently in use) and then a second, larger output. Is there an adapter or special cable, or am I really missing something here.

Never ran dual monitors before.

That's the stock low-end video card from Apple, so it would have 1 DVI and 1 ADC port. You can get ADC-DVI or ADC-VGA adapters to connect whatever you need.

Side by side, and 2 19" 4x3 monitors if anybody cares.

I was at the Police station last night, paying a parking ticket, and the ladies behind the glass had 8 each across their desks. Plus large screen TV monitors up on the walls with video camera feeds from throughout the city. Yikes... talk about info overload.

There was another poll about which monitor people have as their primary. Most use the left monitor. Since I like my dock on the right, I use the right monitor.

Dual 24" side by side with a 3rd monitor (Wacom Cintiq 21" ) on the right side return. Main screen is in the middle, or the 24" on the right. I could go for 4 since I have 2 video cards now but I don't think the is enough room on my desk.

I've tried both - Unibody MBP has all its ports on the left side, and since it is elevated to match monitor height (on arm) it makes more sense to have MBP on the left. I am unplugging 2-4 cords, twice a day. I use the MBP optical drive maybe once a month. Seriously considering the upgrade that puts another 500GB hard drive in there - and I could RAID 0 them.
