Jeez Louise -- UGGz are expensive

You'd expect the youth/kids' sizes to be a good bit less than the men's, but, um, no.

Ooh, I hate 'em. But if you're ever in town, we can run by the outlet. It's a real, honest-to-goodness factory outlet, in the industrial section of Ventura, not in some cheesy mall filled with fake outlets.

They have Uggs, Teva, and Simple shoes. My wife bought a pair of Simples, and when somebody at work complimented them, she replied, oh, they were two-ninety-five. And they said wow, that's a lot of money! And she said, not two hundred and ninety-five dollars, two dollars and ninety-five cents.

because on the grander scheme of things, the materials cost on most footware is in the single dollar range.

Ne'er hear of them until this thread, but a little research suggests it's prudent to budget enough money for the rest of your clothes, or maybe pass this year if that's not possible.

Mine too!

But my growing niece wants a pair of the boots AND an iPod touch.
I spoil the kid rotten (got her an iMac for her last B-day), but the UGGs just gave me sticker shock.

Uggs are well worth the money. Very comfortable, warm and they last a long time.
