Under $500? A 64GB Touch is $399, so don't hold your breath.

I'm figuring at least a $200 bump from the Touch, so somewhere around $599 at least for the base price and $799-899 high end.

My ideal set-up would include a 15" MBP, any smaller and I couldn't really use it to get work done, and now an iPad. Super light, 1.5 pounds, good battery life, video, web, e-mail, music, lots of apps, wireless access for as little as $15 mo. with no contract. Perfect for when I want a connectivity device for travel. Even $899 wouldn't put it out of the running.
