I had 52 Indian Chief, never a bmw, and I wore Dingo boots, still had really long hair and a fringe Daniel Boone buck leather jacket...
Hey I do remember when I was young and free... reminds me of this, though... Billy: What the hell is wrong with freedom? That's what it's all about. George Hanson: Oh, yeah, that's right. That's what's it's all about, all right. But talkin' about it and bein' it, that's two different things. I mean, it's real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the marketplace. Of course, don't ever tell anybody that they're not free, 'cause then they're gonna get real busy killin' and maimin' to prove to you that they are. Oh, yeah, they're gonna talk to you, and talk to you, and talk to you about individual freedom. But they see a free individual, it's gonna scare 'em.

Is all that riding what caused your hair to be craved to be touched by nurses everywhere?

Yup it reminds me of all the fatal motorcycle accidents I have witnessed since I got off the two wheel mode some forty years ago. Every time I get a nostalgic longing for returning to the open road on two wheels it seems to precipitate a fatal motorcycle accident in near proximity to my travels, rather spooky to say the least. I finally acknowledged that some parts of our youthful abandon are best left behind and respect the not too subtle reminders provided by the universe. Statistically older riders that have been off for many years and return to the new more powerful machines of today are likely candidates for a serious or fatal accident. When I got off my Triumph Bonneville it was considered a hot state of the art machine, but compared to today’s super bikes it is closer to a Vespa in stature.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_Bonneville Given my reduced reaction time, declining vision and all the other treats of maturity I find the comfort of four wheels and lots of steel and airbags afforded by my Mercedes very reassuring. BTW I notice you are not even wearing a helmet?
