How easy is it to put casters on this computer desk?

It wont take the side forces very well. It needs a back or some kind of board along the bottom

It looks as if the sidewalls are too thin to use standard casters. Quite a while ago, I saw casters that had a "U" bracket that would basically cradle the sides. Google or, check home stores (Lowes, Home Depot etc.).

It is likely made out of "particle punk" like most Ikea stuff.

Lee3,
I couldn't find any info on the thickness of the panels but by the look of it I assume the side panels are too thin. testcase, Wrap-on Twin Wheel casters will have to be the ones.

Can't find any at homedepot.com nor lowes.com. May have to stop by the stores themselves.

they sell the casters at ikea
but if you hit one bump with it and it bows out -- like this: /-\ -- it will spit open maybe something with support? http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60169977

I get mine from Outwater Plastics. It is easy to call and they usually ship from Phoenix. Here is the link page 156. Looks like less than $1.50 total each. You might have to add a shim on the inside. http://www.outwatercatalogs.com/lg_displ...r/page/165
