I know that some of the threads are amusing and informative but is it possible to have another subforum for those sort of topics? I mean, this is supposed to be Tips and Deals but it seems that more and more there are these off-topics threads nowadays.
Thanks.

absolutely not!
OWC clearly gave us what we wanted - one big forum of diverse subjects.
This is why DM is now a deserted wasteland...

At DM, one had to always put "OT" for a post that was not Mac related, I think it was. Anyway, this has been a pretty good forum to me - I have learned some helpful things here, and had a few laughs...

I know all these Insect, REI, Huffington Post or Newsvine, Have you seen Thor?, Eating whale, etc posts get in the way! Thanks for pointing that out IronMac. Oh, and thanks for contributing to that small sample of threads, too!

I suppose you could start your own forum, and have it exactly your way. Problem solved.

Did I say that I would not be posting in a new subforum if there was one? Did I not say that some of the threads were amusing and informative?
Thanks for your input.

As I recall, one of the annoyances of the "old place" (at least for me) was that they fragmented the forum into smaller "rooms". It then became fairly inconvenient to have to go to each room to stay current with all the topics and feel like you were part of the big picture. I kinda like the "liquor in the front, poker in the rear" 2 room approach we have here.

I left DM because someone invited me over to here.
I've also moved away from this forum a few years ago to another forum that was more Mac-centric because I felt that too much time was spent "chatting".

It's too hard to slide your cursor a few inches and do a click? Are today's monitors that big?
