I have done every update for the EVO so far. I don't do it the first week it is pushed out. The only negative is with the last update my phone is slow to charge when on. If I shut it off it still charges super fast. but I don't want to turn it off.

Evo has been simple and it is pushed to me..I do not have to do anything. Easy, peasy.

Turn off all of that Blockbuster stuff. Mine charges normally but that bloatware kept checking whatever it checks.

That's a misleading article. Gingerbread, while released in the field is incomplete and unofficial. 0% of Android users should be using it. Froyo, Android 2.2 is the latest "official" release. As of Dec 10th, 43% of Android phones were using Froyo. The earlier Android phones will never qualify to upgrade to it.
