speculation on resale value of Snow Leopard?

Do you think we'll see SL prices rising after Lion is released? Maybe some people missed the boad and need SL just to get Lion?

I never said that. The Leopard went up in value since it was the last PPC OS and Apple stopped selling it.

Yes, you will need to have 10.6 Snow Leopard to get 10.7 Lion since you have to have the App Store to get Lion

Netbooks running OS X will be stuck at 10.6.x so that might be a factor.

Ken Sp., it wont be long until there'll be additional sources to download 10.7 other than the App Store. They may not be entirely legal & Apple approved, but would almost certainly be faster than downloading from Apple.

since many Mac users are doing fine with 10.4, i don't see any problem with people using 10.6 until their machines die.
