Who likes having your full address announced in a public place?
#1
Getting a state inspection done this morning, and the tech says to me:
"So are you still at (insert address here)?"

This was done in earshot of the waiting area. I understand that they are
doing this to verify my mailing address so they can send me coupons or
reminders or whatever other crap, but... as Ed Lover would say...

Every time I pick up a prescription from a pharmacy they ask me to "verify my address" verbally at the register.

Well anyone could look up the public housing records to see who lives where, not really private information.

So what's the problem?

When I pick up my scrip I just say my street name and they're happy. Not out of privacy concerns, but because I'm too lazy to recite the whole thing.

Your street name?! No way I'd tell them mine.
