Who likes having your full address announced in a public place?
#21
"So are you still at (insert address here)?"

I've had that happen a few times, and have corrected the errant personnel. Now I pretty much know when to expect such a question and interrupt with a "Yes, I am." Sometimes I'd like to take the action that preceded "You were about to say 007".

One man's paranoia is another man's careful. My street address, like my phone numbers, is for those who are entitled to know it. I don't understand why some people need to characterize someone else's desire for privacy as paranoia. It's disingenuous at best, ignorant otherwise.

I have firearms and can handle them better than most can handle a baseball bat, or firearms.

And I'm not in the 'Phone book.

Also consider that while maybe you Tough Guys don't mind somebody singing out your street address, the people who do that no doubt do so out of habit, and who really wants that to happen with their girlfriends, wives, or daughter. (No question mark, it was rhetorical.)

I guess the way it was done made you dislike the situation. You are aware that nowadays you can get anyone's address if you really want to.

But yes, it is ugly to have that done in public. Not at all comfortable!

Not likely to happen. My wife doesn't go with me for these kinds of things.
