6 years seems kind of light given that there were 100 victims.

Agree.

"He could have hacked into their computers, obtained financial information ... and left undetected," prosecutors said in court papers.

"Instead he made contact with his victims and played psychological games with them intending to inflict emotional harm."

It says he pled guilty to one count each of wiretapping and hacking, so that must have been the deal he was offered.

I still think people like that should be turned over to their victims on a ship past the 12 mile limit. The sharks may find their remains useful.

Wow, google "Luis Mijangos"...

CNN:
Luis Mijangos, 32, an illegal immigrant from Mexico who was living in Santa Ana...

buzzfeed.com:
Sex Tape Hacker: Luis Mijangos, a 31-year-old paraplegic who was injured in a gangland shooting, has been charged...

Six years in Federal prison?
Too bad a deal can't be struck to have him serve the full sentence
in a Mexican prison.
IIRC, under current US law, he will be deported after serving his sentence.
