This is a legitimate tool. I just used this to get into a client's computer.

If you have the hash, you can type it in at this page http://www.objectif-securite.ch/en/products.php and they will crack it right then and there.

When I get a Windblows computer to fix and no PW, I first try to log in as Administrator leaving the PW blank, since that account is created at Windows install and seldom gets PW protection. If that doesn't work I go for the hacks.

I have tried to use Ophcrack for my forgotten Acer Windows 7 password. While, there is maybe something restriction for password characters, it finally didn't help me.
