I've had dismal luck with Mac DVD ripping software for years and fire up Parallels most often to rip DVDs (though I now play Ultima IV on occasion there, too). Well I have a DVD which finally stumped my PC SW and RipIt handled it with no problem, so that bundle it came in last year is now coming in even more handy!

I have had very very few problems ripping with RipIt. However, the last few DVDs I've ripped have stopped several times while playing using DVD Player. The solution from RipIp was to "try using VLC". Which in fact, worked, but I kind of prefer DVD Player.

Disney DVD, chapters are in wrong order when ripped, WTF.

RipIt's rips frequently don't work when burnt back to DVD.
MTR4 never fails me.

The only time I've had problems with DVDFab is if the disks looks like they had been used to polish concrete. |
