We don't skip winter, but we do skip New York winters, thank goodness. Smile

Does that mean they'll be "nipped in the bud" before they can develop?
I was worrying about the same thing happening here in Chicago last week.

daffodils are usually pretty tough and can survive a false start
were they planted deep enough ?

I don't know about how deep they were planted, they have been around since I have lived here, since 1991.

We usually have a couple of ice and snow storms, Mattkime. We also have quite a bit of teens and twenties temps. Jan and Feb are usually not too pleasant with pesky ice, that gridlocks the city.

my daffodils have been peeking up for weeks now. they usually don't come up until the end of january. last year was unusual in that they didn't appear until the end of february. very strange weathers, indeed.

Our Annual Bluegrass is growing, Ground Ivy is blooming, some Camellia's have already bloomed and fell
off, wild garlic(wild onions) are up about 5', if the Dandelions start popping in Jan. something is really wrong in NC.
