Is there a way for me to get an email alert whenever one of my for sale CL posts expires?

Not that I'm aware of. I usually get a few emails whenever something I have listed is about to expire from people trying to get a deal.

Why not note the expiration date in your Calendar? It will alert you based on the time you set.

I use Calendar a lot for Dr appts, grandkids sport events, tee times, etc. I get alerts 1 or 2 hours before hand, even one day if I set that.

How about marking your calendar? As I remember for my locale (San Francisco Bay area) for sale items expire in 7 days, other cities can last as long as 45 days. Other types of adds such as resumés, Gigs, etc last 30 days and again 45 days in other cities. Details at this link http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/posting_lifespans

If you do a lot on Craig's list it is a lot easier to create your own free account and manage multiple adds from your own account page. That's what I have done and it makes it almost effortless. Details for account creation at this link: http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/user_accounts

One of the most invaluable free services on the web in my book, Have gradually cleared our home and garage of many years of treasures (translate junk) that we just did not know what to do with. Even won a bet with my wife who claimed nobody would ever pay me real money for some of my old cars left over from the days when I ran a garage, sure enough every one of them is gone and a fair amount of pocket change as a bonus.
