Ryan is a liar. A liar is going to be questioned about everything he says.
The fact is that he IS a liar. Plain and simple. The Kurt Cobain thing is just shorthand (to me, funny shorthand) for the hard plain truth that the guy is a LIAR. It's funny 'cause it's true, as Homer says. IF you think that it is not a problem to have an enormous liar running for VP of the most important country in the hemisphere and one of the top in the world, that's fine. I for one think it's not so good. AND the fact that the GOP treats our candidates shamelessly means that I care not if Ryan is humiliated by this, or if it is unfair. Tough noogies.

...in obvious lying (or unsubstantiated nonsense) What is the difference between you coloring your argument by conflating "obvious lying" with a parenthetical "...nonsense" and others coloring their argument that Ryan is a liar with an potential argument that his answer was influenced by a band of which he is a fan?

You are postulating that My (and $tevie's) intent is to put some insignificant trash out there about the red team in the hope it will stick, and or that our intent is to play good little Democratic foot soldier and help someone else's trashy meme propagate. If a person has not figured out yet that Ryan AND Romney are both LIARS*, they have a real problem. They either are:
1. oblivious to the world around them 2. only get their news from one or two sources (see number one) 3. are just not very bright * I don't mean a person who has told lies. Everyone does that. I mean LIARS. If you don't understand that or want to argue semantics, see number three)
