iPhone 4 and a contact name appearing in Banner when I am calling someone else

How did it get there and how do I remove it.

Same phone number is in more than one contact ? I have my home number in my contact, AND in a contact titled "home". When they call me, I see "Home and cbelt3".

Does this name and number appear when calling everyone, or just when calling one particular number?

If it only appears when calling one number, try deleting the contact that triggers the problem, and then re-entering the info.

I indicated that that was not the correct answer and then I thanked him for his response in a "light and whimsical way." My apologies to cb3 if he was offended.

It was happening when calling any other number. when that call was done this banner name would pop up like it was calling him.

Apparently my recent change in Notifications would require unopened voice mail to cue up in the banner.

I turned off that Notification
