Husbands, do you buy your wife a Mother's Day present?
#1
That is, if you have kids?
I don't mean if you have young children, and you have to buy the gift for mommie, but it s from them.
What I am talking about is do you buy a separate gift just from you to her?

Just wondering.

Twenty years of marriage and thirteen years of children. I've been buying her a present for the last twelve years. She gave birth to our youngest right before mothers day, I wasn't prepared with a gift as I had other things on my mind (the baby), and I've never heard the end of it and probably will never hear the end of it.

No. Nor anything on Valentines Day, her birthday or our wedding anniversary. I let her boyfriend take care of that.

I acknowledge the day, it's a different date over here. Maybe some flowers and/or chocolate but nothing big so as not to compete with the gifts from the children.

I buy a gift because my wife IS my mother.

We have never celebrated or acknowledged Valentine's Day here—just another excuse for gift marketing.

Yep, to her that is more important than her birthday. Know what I getting her, but haven't picked it up yet.

No, she is not my mother. Mothers Day is for her children to buy her a gift.
