quality usb wall and car chargers
#1
I usually just by cheap ones from monoprice and of course, i get what I pay for and they die pretty quickly. Is there a good quality wall and car charger for usb devices? Obviously a google search turns up about a gazillion options so that's no help.

I just bought this for the car and it works fine. We'll see about the long term. I figured TMobile might have spec'ed it at a high level since their name is on it.

Previously I had bought a Motorola USB wall charger for the same reason. It's been working fine for more than a year.

This is about the top rated USB car charger on Amazon, it's $9.95. I bought one after going through some cheapies
from Firefold. So far so good.

I just went through this and it seemed to me that scosche had the car chargers with the best ratings. We've had two of their dual USB chargers for a while and they've never skipped a beat. I've never had an issue with any wall charger I've tried.

Do you need to charge an iPhone or an iPad?

I have a dual USB car charger from Amazon that does, indeed, charge both an iPad3 AND an iPhone in our cars. Took me awhile to find one that has these specs and decent reviews. Wasn't too expensive, as I recall, and was an Amazon Prime purchase so came quickly.

Here it is:

I have one for me and one for my brother-in-law (who uses his iPad for site work and needs the mobile power option).

I've had this Scosche model in each of my cars (two in my wife's, two in our van) for over a year now (order date was April 12, 2012 acc'd to Amazon) without so much as a hiccup. We use them to charge iPads, iPad minis, iPhones, and whatever else has a USB power plug adapter (Nintendo, Sony, etc.).

I spent a lot of money on the devices; I'm not going to skimp on the gadget pumping juice into them.

I got two of these- http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-high-spe..._1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367782224&sr=8-1&keywords=Trent+USB+charger .

The bottom USB slot is 2.1A, but it's not marked.

These really work well.

I use this- http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-high-spe..._1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367782224&sr=8-1&keywords=Trent+USB+charger for my car.

This also works very well.
