Hot TV Teaser: ‘Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Season 2

.....ABC has officially released online the first, short promo for Season 2 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and things are looking… hairy… for Coulson & Co.

Amidst recycled footage from the Marvel series’ freshman run, you can spy Skye rocking some emo bangs, while Ward’s apparently been less than diligent with his Schick whilst imprisoned.

The eagle-eyed will also see Melinda May doing what she does best — owning a bad guy — while Fitz, in what seems to be a snippet of a new scene, looks a bit worse for wear after cheating underwater death.

And through it all, newly appointed S.H.I.E.L.D. director Coulson reminds us of the organization’s mission, which perhaps is more important than ever.

ABC’s S.H.I.E.L.D. opens Season 2 on Tuesday, Sept. 23, now airing at 9/8c......

I've been enjoying SHIELD quite a bit, but I'm really tired of the Govt Conspiracy plot device.

Actually, unless I'm lost (like that's never happened...), this is actually the gummint good guys fighting to regain control after bad guys have infiltrated and serriptiously taken control. So a little bit different spin than power mad beureaucrats raising the old Harry.

You're correct, of course.

But the differentiation is so slight, that it feels pretty much the same to me.

"We don't know who we can trust!"

Whether it's someone in the Govt that has decided on a new pension plan/new foreign policy (total world domination); an outside criminal element corrupting and colluding with a Govt employee for personal financial gain, or an evil organization wanting to supplant the Govt with one of their own for personal wealth and political power for total world domination… It all begins to feel the same.

That said, I still like the show, especially Clark Gregg and Ming-Na Wen. Greggs dead-pan deliveries about S.H.I.E.L.D.'S name in Iron Man really cracked me up.
