I'm proud to say I've never bought any Dell labeled product.
Furthermore I don't have any plans to buy anything labeled Dell.

I've bought and resold quite a few Dell monitors.
They've all stood up well.
Just monitors though.
Dell was selling PeeCees rebranded and cores for a while and some of them proved to be quite rugged as well.
Don't know if they still do as I'm out of that reselling market now.

Dell used to make very good hardware. I was very happy with my Inspiron 9300 and used it for seven years (it still works). It took Apple almost 4 years before they gave the MacBook Pro an arguably better GPU. I am still using my 2405FPW but it is showing it's age.

gave my wife my old 1st gen Xeon with a 2405FPW fro the same era. When she isn't knee deep in the HTC Sensation, she's quite happy with the combo.
Way better than the sad old Gateway laptop she had.

90 day warranty
that sucks - I've purchased refurbs in the past that included 3 year warranties...

FWIW, my current Dell was a refurb that came with 90 as well.
When I thought it was f'd, I called Dell.
That was at about 6 months.
They sent a replacement, nqa, though it turned out I was wrong and sent it back.
ppd in both directions by Dell.
