WIll TPers throw Jan Brewer under the bus next?

I think it's pretty obvious that Brewer is going to have to veto this bill. And that it's going to be something everyone involved is going to try to forget really quickly.


Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney on Tuesday joined the chorus of Republicans urging Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer to veto a controversial measure allowing businesses to refuse service to gay customers.

The former presidential candidate waded into the debate on Twitter on Tuesday by directly calling out Brewer.

Romney joins both of Arizona’s Republican senators who have called on Brewer to veto the bill in what is a growing backlash against the legislation. The NFL has also said it is keeping an eye on what happens in Arizona, as the state is set to host the 2015 Super Bowl.

Delaware Gov. Jack Markell said Monday the NFL should pull the Super Bowl from the state if the bill becomes law.

She vetoed the same bill last year. I can only hope she signs this one into law. But it is of no import compared to:

It REALLY annoys me that some of those AZ repubs are wanting to have their cake after they've eaten it - some voted for the bill and are now asking the gov to veto it. We've seen this before - staging a filibuster then voting for the bill afterward...

I don't think she will do nothing - but this is a great, "HEY EVERYBODY, LOOK AT ME!!!" moment for her and she's gonna milk it for all it's worth.
She should hastily rush into a decision so you can denigrate her for hastily making decisions, right ?
Giving the peanut galleries time to voice their opinions seems fair to me. The deadline isn't for her to make a decision, it's also a deadline for voices to speak up and be heard.

How about just changing the deadline date repeatedly, like constantly redrawing red lines .
Now that's attention hoaring.

Brewer announces a press conference to discuss the issue - yes, of course this is so important that the press MUST be called in.

If a bill calling for Jews to be interned and then incinerated was on the agenda, would we need to 'talk' about it first or would a rush to an obvious decision be ok?

Relax, billb. There will be more bills introduced to try and take rights away from people in the name of "religious freedom." I'm sure they will all come from a 50/50 split between parties, too.

What guys like you don't want to admit is that Obama is THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and is supposed to be treated accordingly when one meets him. Eff you and the others who don't get that.
