"... the Macs running OS X Mavericks for today’s demo are running up on stage uncovered and in public view. A flatted [sic] dock, white trash can, red iTunes icon, green FaceTime app, iOS 7-style Safari icon, as well as redesigned Finder, Calendar, Messages, Settings and other icons are visble."

I had planned to visit Yosemite National Park last August but it was on fire......
![]() Plan B: I drove to Crescent City, CA and saw Redwoods National & State Park. The Redwoods are AMAZING! Well worth the drive. :boink: I will catch Yosemite NP soon. :oldfogey:

That's funny. We were just in Yosemite Memorial Day weekend.

I'm perfectly OK with the flattened dock. I just hope there is a Finder.

Oh goodie!! Stuff looks different! Clean lines! Style!
This creating a whole new computing experience with every OS upgrade is just insane...

it's looking closer to iOS than ever
And I'm over it. The new OS looks really good and the integration is great. I'm in. I'll miss the likable icons. Third-party developers don't have to follow Apple's lead, unless it's a condition for selling in the Mac App Store, as it is in the iOS App Store. But Yosemite has enough going for it that flat is tolerable for me. OS X, meet iOS. iOS, meet OS X. Works for me. |
