A friend said he got a 64G USB3 thumb drive at Costco for about $25.

That seems awfully cheap. Does anybody remember that price or is he misremembering?

It sounds reasonable when I have seen them just under $20 on sale at other stores. Years ago I saw a pallet of NiCd cordless 3/8" ratchets at Costco for about $40. They were gone the next day and I have never seen them again.

yup, the Costco has em for $25 per.

one would think a company with a warehouse of the USB2 version would be selling them at $15/per if the above is true.

They will be in random Walmart*'s in five years, still listed at $39.99 for a 64 GB version.

MrBig,

How about an HP 128gig USB 3.0 flash drive for $35.00?

In this day and age, if I were to buy a USB flash drive, it'd be at least 32 04 64 gigs and absolutely USB 3.0.

I usually recommend the SanDisk Extreme USB 3.0 models but they are definitely more expensive than the HP model in the link. At $35 for a 128 gig USB 3.0 flash drive, the HP unit offers a very solid bang for the buck.
