[RYF] PNY 240 GB SSD $59.99 @ Best Buy

No rebates required. I don't have any personal experience with the 240 GB version, but I used the 120 GB version as an upgrade/replacement in a friend's Dell laptop about six months ago, and there have been no issues with it.

Paid $75 AR for the 240 GB PNY Optima a year ago, $60 is pretty good.

$99 or less for 500 GB is just around the corner! Then I will bite...

Certainly not the fastest SSD but a very good price.

That's a third-party seller. Amazon is still $60, but since it's a 2-4 week wait, you have to select it from the right side of the screen.

I have absolutely no use for a 240G SSD, as I have one lying fallow as it is.

But it's really *really* difficult to resist another for just $60.

Certainly not the fastest SSD...

I'm going to ignore the last bit and make this a mantra.

Then, maybe… Resistance won't be futile.

It depends on the bus speed anyway. If you are still rocking an old SATA 1 Mac, none of these drives will see full performance anyway. Does that help further dissuade you from reaching for the credit card?
