Nashville movie theater shooting suspect pronounced dead Alleged gunman, armed with gun and hatchet, killed after firing

Officers from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department responded to reports of man with gun and hatchet inside showing of "Mad Max" at the Carmike 8 Cinemas on Bell Road in Antioch, authorities said.

Don Aaron, a public information officer, said the gunman shot at a police office, prompting him to return fire. A SWAT team moved in and exchanged fire; the suspect has been pronounced dead.

He had a hatchet too. Time to villify the tool manufacturers, the lumber industry, and the roofing/siding industry. Oh, and the recreation and wood stove industries.

Oh, and flooring installers.

Heck, go after the Boy Scouts. They use hatchets too.

Any Dow Corning, the makers of Mace. And the National Parks gift shops, who sell bear repellant. Heck, go after the police, because the spray may have been stolen out of an unlocked police car.

You will notice that he shot at the cop. Did not throw a hatchet at the cop.

He also hosed down the theater with Mace or OC spray. Could have killed children or asthmatics/COPD sufferers.

No. Everyone wants to blame the firearm. I'm just pointing out that he had other means. Endless means, to be realistic.

The problem is the people, not the means.
